Patrick Orr has spent his
professional career promoting the interests of developing countries. This
has included institution building and strengthening information services
at government level. Patrick gives strategic advice and plans public relations
programmes for companies investing, or seeking to invest, in the developing
world – particularly Africa. A specialist in government relations, Patrick has considerable experience
in working with international organisations, including the United Nations,
non-governmental organisations and the development community as a whole.
He helped to launch the Brundtland Commission report in 1987, described
as the most important development document of the decade, and ran a campaign
to publicise the eradication of Guinea worm, in collaboration with the
Carter Center, headed by former US President Jimmy Carter. |
